Which System Will Provide You With More Entertainment

By Matt Thames

Your home entertainment center is incomplete without a home video game console. So what is the best option for those on a limited budget? Not everyone will be able to, or want to for that matter, purchase each system available.

The first thing to consider is what type of needs you have. Think about if you like to watch movies at home and would like to upgrade to BluRay. If you want true High def, then this is the best option. For the best experience, you should have an HDTV, BluRay player and the right HDMI cables. A good way to get a BluRay is to buy a PlayStation 3. It comes built in to the PlayStation, regardless of which model you choose. Some models also offer backward compatibility to play PlayStation and PS2 games as well. You can also go online with the PS3, given you have internet service already.

The next obvious choice is the Microsoft XBox 360. It doesn't offer the BluRay, but does cost about one hundred dollars less. If you would rather have a larger range of games than the BluRay, this is a good choice. You can go online as well, for a monthly fee. The other choice is the Nintendo Wii. This is the least expensive system, and has online capability as well. A neat feature is downloading older games and classics.

The main thing that makes the Wii so different is the way you interact with the games. You have motion sensors that you place on the TV, and everything is wireless. You can't play DVDs or Blu Rays, but it is less expensive. The entire family can literally play this console. Any type of person would enjoy this machine.

You can pretty much buy these systems anywhere. If you want to read more about them or compare prices, you can do that online. And if you are more technical minded and want to know more specs, you can find that online, too. - 32388
